The Under-15 National Team won their latest match in the Tournament of Nations as they beat Slovenia thanks to a brace from Milan's Leonardo Rossi. The team will now face the winner of the match between Portugal and Russia in the play-off to finish in fifth place.
The Azzurrini have done well so far: despite not qualifying for the semi-finals, they managed to beat England and Qatar 2-1 and 6-2 respectively and draw 1-1 against the Czech Republic in the group stage.
Rossi's introduction after the break made all the difference for Patrizia Panico's side: just a minute after coming on in Accornero's place, he struck a left-footed effort across the goal and into the back of the net to give Italy the lead. After going 1-0 up, the Azzurrini became more confident and sure of themselves, with Rossi eventually sealing the win with a header following a corner.
