The Stadio Giuseppe Meazza continues to fill up ahead of Italy’s return on Thursday 12 November (20:45 CET), when they face Zinédine Zidane’s France in their final UEFA Nations League group game. A total of 40,500 tickets have already been issued for the meeting with Les Bleus, as the Azzurri seek the points they need to secure a place in the quarter-finals.
Tickets can be purchased from authorised Vivaticket outlets and through the FIGC ticketing website, with discounted rates for families, Under-12s, Under-18s, Over-65s and university students.
ITALY RETURN TO MILAN. Italy’s historic first international took place in Milan against France on 15 May 1910. The Azzurri won 6-2 at the Arena Civica and, ten years later, on 18 January 1920, beat Les Bleus 9-4 for their biggest victory in the city. Only Rome has hosted more Italy matches than Milan, which has staged 64, with the Azzurri recording 39 wins, 19 draws and 6 defeats. The city was also home to the Italian Football Federation between 1905 and 1911. Italy have played at four venues in Milan: the Arena Civica, the Velodromo Sempione (demolished in 1928), the Campo Milan on Viale Lombardia, and San Siro, which was named after Giuseppe Meazza on 3 March 1980.
Italy return to the Meazza a year after their 4-1 defeat by Norway in their final World Cup qualifying group game and two years after losing 3-1 to France in the Nations League. The Azzurri have lost their last three matches in Milan, where they had previously gone unbeaten for almost a century. That run spanned 96 years, between the 2-1 defeat by Hungary in January 1925 and the 2-1 loss to Spain in October 2021.

After that time, no further tickets can be issued or changes to the named ticket holder made. Current regulations permit a maximum of four tickets to be purchased per transaction.
