The Azzurri will be back under the lights at San Siro, which will host one of the most exciting fixtures in European and world football for the first time in two years. Tickets are now on sale for Italy vs France, the national team’s final home match in the UEFA Nations League group stage, scheduled for Thursday 12 November at 8:45 PM at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan.

Tickets can be purchased at authorised Vivaticket outlets and online at ticketing.figc.it, with discounted rates available for families, Under-12s, Under-18s, over-65s and university students.

THE NATIONAL TEAM RETURNS TO MILAN

On 15 May 1910, the national team played its first-ever match in Milan, taking on France at the Arena Civica and winning 6-2. Ten years later, on 18 January 1920, Italy defeated Les Bleus 9-4, recording their biggest victory in any of their matches played in the Lombardy capital.
Milan is the city that has hosted the second-highest number of Italy matches after Rome, with 64 games yielding 39 wins, 19 draws and six defeats. It was also home to the Italian Football Federation between 1905 and 1911. The national team has played at four different venues in the city: the Arena Civica, the Velodromo Sempione (demolished in 1928), the Campo Milan in Viale Lombardia and San Siro, which was named after Giuseppe Meazza on 3 March 1980.
Italy will return to the Meazza one year after their 4-1 defeat to Norway in their final World Cup qualifying group match, and two years after their 3-1 loss to France in the Nations League. The Azzurri have lost their last three matches in Milan, bringing to an end an unbeaten run that had lasted almost a century — precisely 96 years — from the 2-1 defeat to Hungary in January 1925 to the 2-1 loss to Spain in October 2021.
