World Cup qualifying: Udine to host Italy vs. Israel
The Stadio Friuli previously staged the Azzurri’s 4-1 victory over the Israelis in the UEFA Nations League on 14 October 2024Saturday, June 21, 2025

Udine will host Italy vs. Israel exactly a year on from previously doing so on 14 October 2024. That day, at the Stadio Friuli, the Azzurri beat Israel 4-1 in the UEFA Nations League thanks to a Di Lorenzo brace and goals from Retegui and Frattesi. On Tuesday 14 October 2025, thanks to a close relationship with Udinese Calcio, history will repeat itself, albeit this time the match will be a 2026 World Cup qualifier in Group I.

Italy will resume their qualifying campaign on 5 and 8 September, first facing Estonia in Bergamo and then Israel at a neutral ground in Debrecen. Fast forward a month and they will meet the same two opponents again: the Azzurri will take to the pitch in Tallinn on 11 October before taking on the Israelis three days later. The National Team have played ten matches in Udine, remaining unbeaten with eight wins and two draws, scoring 21 goals and conceding just three.
