After a 2-1 friendly win over Slovenia in Lignano Sabbiadoro, the first win of the season thanks to first goals for Colpani and Melegoni, the Italy Under-21 National Team spent the night in Venice and this afternoon, they will be returning to training at the Centro CONI in Tirrenia ahead of their match in Kalmar scheduled for Tuesday (18:30 CEST), when they will be facing Sweden, as they pursue three points that will be crucial for qualification for the European Championship.

Paolo Nicolato has reduced his squad down to 23 players ahead of our clash with Sweden, the Azzurrini’s sixth match in Group 1, which will see Italy, currently sitting second in the Group with 13 points in five matches (four wins and one draw, 15 goals scored and none conceded), and they are three points behind group-leaders Ireland, who have played two more matches.

After today’s training session, the team will complete a double training sessions in Tirrenia tomorrow and on Sunday, before leaving for Kalmar on Monday morning.
